Defective
Products Liability
Anyone injured from a defective product may be entitled
to compensation. The defect may be in design, manufacture,
or absence of appropriate warnings, and so be unreasonably
dangerous to the user. Examples include damages due
to defects in automobiles, power machinery, children's
toys, and medical devices. Defective products frequently
experience a recall by the manufacturer. With some exceptions,
most product lawsuits must be filed with two years of
the date of injury. Nevertheless, all cases should be
investigated as soon as possible to properly preserve
the evidence.
